"Where are mother and Midar"? Asked Luna anxiously. "They are already in the carriage waiting for us. We are not allowed to live at the Palace any longer and the soldiers are going to take us somewhere else". "Where"? "I don't know, my girl". |
Luna sat by her brother in the open carriage and they were driven away. They drove through the main street of the city, but it was deserted even though it was the middle of the day. The shopkeepers had closed their small shops and locked up. Nobody wanted to buy anything on a day like this. Everybody stayed indoors to avoid being killed. King Jomar's carriage was followed by several mounted soldiers to prevent any escapes and Luna realized that she was now a prisoner. |
